Glass bead doped with 10% Manganese 2+ Ions – NEW! red fluorecence!
Size about 20mm – weight ~ over 5 grams
Material: ZnBaP:10Mn2+
Nice optical glass bead. Each one handmade in our lab.

White at normal light
Red (strong peak @ 635 nm) under 395nm UV excitation

Please do not use common UV LEDs, they produce wavelengths above 400 nm and are not suitable! Blacklight tubes work best! The UV lamp used for the photos has a wavelength of 365nm

Under daylight they are water clear and colorless
